and SEG Challenge Bowl in Kumasi, Ghana

SEG, SPE, AAPG and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Geophysical Society cordially invite you to participate in the upcoming 2nd African Geosciences Student Conferences – Kumasi, Ghana. The theme for the 2014 conference is; “Exploring the breadth and depth of Geosciences.”

Technical topics to be covered include: Reservoir characterization; Geophysics in the mining industry; local content policies in the extraction industry; near surface applications for Engineers Scientists and Environmentalists; and SEG Technical Conventions.

The technical program provides a unique platform for students and professionals of all backgrounds to present their research results. Teams of two are invited to enter the SEG African Challenge Bowl. Registration closes after eight teams have been confirmed to compete, so enter now!

When: 23rd May 2014
Where: College of Science Auditorium, KNUST
Prize: Winners will compete for the grand prize at the International Challenge Bowl playoffs during the SEG Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado, USA in October 2014.
